RENE Bussoz renames his business to U.S. Divers Company and registers the Aqua-Lung trademark in the United States, solidifying the brand's presence in the American market

First Equipment Catalog Published
U.S. Divers releases its inaugural equipment catalog, providing divers with a comprehensive guide to available scuba gear.

Air Liquide acquires U.s. Divers marking the beginning of the company's intemnational expansion leading to offices in multiple countries including Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia.

U.S Divers releases a series of regulators that becomes the foundation for all Aqualung Regulators moving forwards.
1970
U.S Divers expands their brand to sell snorkels making underwater exploration accessible to everyone.


1988
LAUNCH OF THE AQUALUNG ELAN BCD
U.S. Divers releases the Aqua Lung Elan, the first buoyancy compensator device (BCD) designed specifically for women, addressing the need for gender-specific diving gear
1998
Consolidation of brands under the one Aqua Lung brand name, combines Spirotechnique, U.S. Divers, SeaQuest, Deep see and Technisub.
The black and yellow is replaced with the blue wave.


2000
U.S. Divers honors longtime partnership with the U.S. Government, researching and developing products for Us allies & the US NAVY.
2016
Air Liquide sold Aqua Lung International including Aqua Lung America, and U.SDivers to Montagu Private Equity.


2024
The U.S. Divers brand was sold to Aqua Master Sporting Technology, a California based company.
