Goggle Care & Maintenance
Proper care helps extend the life of your goggles, protect anti-fog coatings, and ensure a clear, comfortable swim every time.
1. Rinse After Every Use
After swimming, gently rinse your goggles with clean, fresh water. This removes chlorine, salt, sunscreen, and debris that can damage lenses and seals over time.
- Use cool or lukewarm water
- Do not use soap or harsh cleaners
- Gently shake off excess water
2. Protect the Anti-Fog Coating
Most swim goggles include a built-in anti-fog coating on the inside of the lens. Touching or rubbing the inside surface can damage this layer.
- Do not wipe the inside of the lenses
- Avoid towels or paper products on lens interiors
- If fogging occurs, rinse lightly with fresh water
3. Air Dry Only
Allow goggles to air dry completely before storing. Place them in a shaded area away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid leaving in hot cars
- Do not use heat sources to dry
- Store only once fully dry
4. Store Properly
Store goggles in a protective case when not in use. This prevents scratches and helps maintain lens clarity.
- Keep lenses facing upward
- Avoid loose storage in swim bags
- Keep away from sharp objects
When to Replace Your Goggles
Even with proper care, swim goggles will naturally wear over time.
- Persistent fogging
- Cracked or scratched lenses
- Loose straps or stretched seals
- Water leakage during use
Replacing worn goggles ensures optimal visibility, comfort, and performance.
